Do I need to already be enrolled in flight training?
No. This is a standalone ground school — you can take it whether or not you're currently flying with Tailfin, and whether or not you've started flight lessons at all.
Will this get me my written test endorsement?
That's what the course is built around. Over the twelve weeks you'll work through the material, the scenarios, and the homework for either the Private Pilot or Sport Pilot knowledge test — and you earn your FAA written test endorsement by doing that work and showing you're ready for the exam. The $50 covers the course itself; the endorsement is what you walk out with at the end of it.
What if I miss a week?
Talk to your instructor — we'll help you catch up on the lesson, scenario, and homework before the next session so you don't fall behind the group.
Is this for Private Pilot, Sport Pilot, or both?
Both. The syllabus is structured to cover the material both certificates require, with the group discussion format working well for either track.
How much does it actually cost?
The course is $50 for the full twelve weeks, which covers the instruction and the endorsement you earn at the end of it.
